I was at IKEA again today and scored this for $70 out the door

not the color combo I wanted but thats what stain is for and a trip to the local fabric store.

Found it in the "as is" corner. Regular price, $130 plus tax. I was going to go with the Pello, which is just $50 but for $20 more I got a more comfortable pad. Now I need to hold out for an ottoman .

I'm sitting in it as I type, its really comfortable and I can rock the back of it.

I also found some of that countertop that you can use to make a massive desk but it was cut up into cutting board sizes. Ohh and a stainless steel counter top for an islant with a cutout for a sink. If that sucker was solid I would have bought it for a workbench. I wish IKEA wasn't a 30 minute drive.

damn, I should have hit up the goodwill before hand.

I'm going to restain it so it comes out like this

so it will match the other wood furniture in my room. I hope this thing is made out of real wood, not the veneer filled with sawdust.
