Angry If you have a "Frozen" Zune your not alone

My 30Gig Zune froze today, but it appears that almost all of the original 30Gig Zunes have froze today 12/31/08. it seems to be a firmware issue but Microsoft isn't talking yet. none of the reset procedures seem to work.
just letting everyone know that has this problem but doesn't check the Zune forums

If that ever happens, Windows will do that for you...

When I read the stuff Bill Gates talks about, how they're going to write the software that will run our cars, homes, appliances, and everything else, I want to run for the hills!

You guys make me laugh.

That sort of software that runs powerplans and what not more than likely does not have a direct internet connection. Same with your car, etc.

How are you going to get a virus with no internet? No connections to any network, etc?

On the "up side" there seem to be more than a couple thousand 30GB Zune owners out there according to the number of complainst on the Zune forums. Who'd have thought they sold that many?

Compared to the number of I Pods, that's nothing.

Ipods and Zune's are dumb. I have a MP3 player on my cell phone. Free, and it works great. My only storage limit is my micro-sd card. They cost almost nothing and hold a lot of music! Easy to swap them out too. I could store 10 of them in my wallet and not even know it. Considering a 4GB card can hold several hundred songs or more in high quality bitrate.....who needs a separate device?

My phone does shuffle. Why carry extra devices, or spend money on them....

I have had my Zune since the day they came out. No issues ever with it. I wish I could say the same about the IPod.
