That's plural. Multiply that salary accordingly.

Being a SAHD is rewarding and also the hardest job I've ever had. Dealing with two toddlers is much more stressful than dealing with a creative team, customers and vendors.
I'm starting to get the hang of it, but I've been doing it for over 2 years now. One of the hardest things to overcome was the lack of adult interaction. I've been able to fill a bit of that void with the semi-adult interaction I get here. I also had to come up with a different morning routine that gave me the same transition period into my day that the drive to work used to provide. I agree with the salary estimate since I fix and maintain the house, yard, and cars. Do the shopping, cleaning & laundry, cook the meals and take care of the kids. Once my wife gets home we share the responsibility of the kids, but there's never a vacation or day off from being a SAHD (I don't think I want one either).

Ha!! I save quite a bit of money that we used to spend as a double income couple. There's no income as a SAHD, just much less cash going out which is a staggering savings (not to mention the lack of daycare costs).
I get extra income from stuff here and there, but it's not necessary. It just gives me my MB play money.

That's not a positive image I wish to subject my kids to. I guess it would be possible for those type of shenanigans once they've gone to bed. Plus, I don't think I'd get any reward for playing such a role ... unless laughter and shame is rewarding.
I only wear an apron when I'm grinding glass ... and I wear pants then too.

I do part time consulting work, but have no kids...yet. Just a dog...and he's pretty needy.
Based on the amount of time/repairs I do on a yearly basis for our cars I probably save about $20,000 annually.... Thats both good and scary.

That is not what the signs tell me. I can forward you their number if you want. Give them a few bucks and they will tell you how to start your own business and be your own boss. Or one of them even says "Fire your boss".
