My owner's manual jacket has a place for a separate tires booklet, but it didn't come with the car. My MB had the same thing--separate booklet for the tires that came on the car, no reference specifically to tires other than specs in the manual.

The BMW manual does not mention tire rotation in the manual.
I just got off the phone with a service advisor and he says that BMW "recommends" it be done to add longevity to the tires along with a balance and 4 wheel alignment for 235.00 Something is amiss here!

You don't need an alignment unless you are having excessive tire wear or steering characteristics problems. You also usually wouldn't need a 4 wheel alignment since less happens to the rear wheels that could cause problems.
Rotate with the arrows pointing the right way every 15K mi. and you should be fine.
