Yeah that's been happening quite often this winter, but I read in this article this will be the last time for a while.

I was playing with Skymap on my new G1 (google phone) and noticed that. In Michigan its too cloudy to look at the stars so we use tech.

I have noticed Venus many times this winter but didn't realize it was venus. Its been startlingly bright.

I'll try to remember to look tonight!

Venus is indeed bright. After the Sun and Moon it's the biggest and brightest object in the sky. It looks a lot like an airplane with headlights on.

I remember when the Moon went over Venus monthly around here. Any sane man hid from sight for a few days.

Though I'll admit the interaction of Venus and the Moon brought forth some beautiful little palnetoids, I have to say I prefer the new sky.
