Yes, it is entirely different, yet the level of ignorance in such a statements suggests that you aren't capable of grasping the difference even if I tried to explain it to you. Perhaps an example would make it easier for you.

Imagine for even an instance that your friends and family, the people that you love and the people who love you, for nothing more than the ancestry, ethnicity, religion or political views that they claim as their own, were treated the way that Holocaust victims were.

The women you know - forced to live in dirty ghettos with poor sanitation where starvation and disease were rampant, forcibly sterilized, raped and ultimately gassed to their death.

You and the men you know, forced to make the choice between hiding like cowards so that you might remain with your families or standing up to the Nazis knowing that you will likely die for doing so. Being sent to either a work camp or a death camp - either way destined to die as you are considered entirely expendable. If you go to the work camp you are deprived of even the most basic of necessities and forced to labor for a cause that is antithetical to your own beliefs until you perish. If you go to the death camp you are packed into some type of confined space (train car, holding chamber, etc) with dozens of others where you await your suffocation from anything from truck exhaust fumes to Zyklon-B gas.

The young children and infants you know, killed at birth so as to not perpetuate the genetic plague that you represent - or to save the lives of their mothers. Recall that for women in the ghettos and camps, pregnancy was punishable by death. Have you ever heard of the "choiceless choice"? It describes the decision women and doctors were faced with - killing infants to save their mothers. As one doctor recalled about her own experience, "I took the warm little body in my hands, kissed the smooth face, caressed the long hair - then strangled him and buried his body under a mountain of corpses waiting to be cremated." (Rittner and Roth 1993:115)

Victims of the Holocaust would have considered themselves or their loved ones lucky to be treated animals. They weren't just killed, they were humiliated, defiled, tortured, beaten, raped and slaughtered.

It is obviously just your "thing" to say whatever you think is sensational so as to draw attention to yourself. You should however stick to car talk - your statements here are disgusting and portray a serious lack of historical knowledge. I should only hope that none of the members of this group had relatives that perished during the Holocaust.

Don't bother replying to this, because I certainly will not - my only request is that you try considering the feelings of others before opening your mouth again. Seriously.

I've been to Auschwitz... They have rolls of human hair cloth on display there (among many other things). It's a beautiful part of the world, but bad juju around that place.

Anyways, Human beings, regardless of race, gender, religion, or moral status. Are evil and violent by nature. We will ALWAYS rape, kill, masacre, and steal from one another. You personally may not be involved, but as a whole, we cannot function without war, and competition. We are a war like creature. Find new life on plant Venus, lets not talk with them lets NUKE the bastards, and take over their planet. A single person might sit back and say"I dont do that", But you are a member of a species that does, and probably have ancestors, and decendants that will. Even the Catholic church is guilty. Sending spaniards to Central America to convert mayans to christianity or die by the sword, as an extension of Gods love, when there is better ways of sharing Christs love. Sending Knights templars to invade, and kill muslims left and right. We call this progress, and reformation of the masses. It was better for them to suffer, they needed it... right, so that we can be sure that our morals are straight and all is well, right?....? Basically, the Nazi camps were horrible, but are you so surprised that a human would do those things? You talk of history, and yet, look at history, what is there? War, Death, Rape, Genocide, Theft. Forced Inductions view on the Holocaust isnt even worth getting mad about, his view is directed towards one of thousands of horrible things that yours, and my ancestors did. You are responsable, I am, and so is Forced. Name one human that isnt, or wont be. Forced Induction stated to you "Thats life, thats how we are, thats how the world is" and I have backed that statement up with evidence. Is he really that far from the truth, and wrong? And lastly, name me one empire on earth that did NOT achieve its power through treason, murder, stealing, and taking advantage of a different race of human.

I'll tell you something about your "normal" remark:

My mother was THERE. In Königsberg, East Prussia, in fact. And I can PROMISE you that NO, THE HOLOCAUST WAS NOT VIEWED AS 'NORMAL.' Even by the German people, all of whom were afraid of Gestapo persecution, many of whom didn't agree with Hitler's policies.

. . . sounds to me like we've got a Holocaust denier on our hands folks. "Aww, those Jews didn't really suffer the way the history books make it out. Why doesn't someone care about me and how hard my life is? Those Jews could have gotten out if they really wanted to, so it's really their own fault."

Anyway, you are ignorant - in the purest meaning of the word, clearly not having any measurable education on the matter - end of story. Your thoughts on a history you don't understand are colored by your vegan lifestyle - or whatever the crap you care to call yourself - I don't care.

Keep on keepin on in that uneducated fog that you justify your beliefs in . . . you may now go back to curling up in the corner of your dark little trailer, rocking back and forth and waiting for the FedEX guy to show up with your comic books and pipe bomb making supplies.
