You hate to wish ill on others, but dead (or at least very stressed) turf is good for business as long as it's not your fault.
Haha. Our club just resolved a criminal federal prosecution for having a large crew of undocumented workers. Got a deferred prosecution (for demonstration of 'good conduct') and $275K fine. Haven't seen an assessment yet, and am not on the board, but can't wait to find out who is going to take the rap, because it isn't going to be me. In addition to the fine and attorney's fees, I am sure 'good conduct' was expensive too (legitimate labor costs)--this for a pretty small club.

Get ready for long greens and a LOT more rough on that course. Maybe they'll let you play winter rules all year.

I've been approached by several of those companies, but have no idea what working for them would be like. Irate customers never borrowed me. If they're coplaining to ME about my company, I figure they are giving m the chance to keep their business. It's when they start compaining about my company to my COMPETITORS that worries me. If that happens, I may not have the chance to fix the problems.

I'm a headhunter and I sell accountants. Business is not great. It is much more challenging now that it has been in the 11 years I've been doing it. I just closed my first piece of business this year. Luckily I had a very strong autumn/winter season in 2008, or else I'd have been in real trouble right now.
