yet another grand idea from GM

http://rorr.im/digg.com/autos/segway_and_gm_building_deathtrap_of_a_vehicle/
and those lazy asses from Segway

wow.. its a wheel chair on steroids or an ill conceived golf cart.

I think I'll stick to my legs since those seemed to have works just fine for mankind for a long time now

Yeah I saw that, Toyota has something similar (but way way sleeker and better)

As if the world doesn't have enough heart disease and isn't FAT enough as it is!

I saw Richard Hammond drive the Toyota one on "Top Gear" His best comment was "We have had these in England for a long time. They are called wheelchairs." I was not impressed. It is 10mph slower then the GM/Segway model and only seats one. It does have the cool chat feature built in, but how many other 'drivers' do you want to invite for coffee?

Me I will also stick to the two foot method of getting around.

Perhaps if it were more... robust.

"This one's a head-turner. The Couchbike is adjustable to fit a wide range of sofas. Rent the frame alone, or borrow a couch from us. Because this is such a unique product, the rental price depends on the intended use. Please e-mail for rates. Also be aware that the Couchbike may not be legal on all roads."

Do you "steer" by leaning in one direction or another with this as well?
If so, then it would be easy to spot the drunk guy, leaning to one side, rolling around in circles, like a broken spirograph toy.
