Help ! I cannot stop buying MB

I think there is something wrong with me, maybe unique midlife crisis, I cannot seem to stop from looking for and buying older MB diesels.
Yesterday I bought a 1981 240d, manual trans no sunroof, manual windows, beige with tobacco interior, good shape, no bodywork.
I already have 1982 240d, manual trans, manual sunroof and manual windows, beige with tobacco interior, it looks like some body work.
I also have 1974 240d, manual trans, manual sunroof and manual windows, yellow with black interior, no rust but black smoke and some electrical wiring issues.

Only two cars? You have a long way to go before you get to the problem club

Yeah I like the 74 the most but it has a weak engine and weak trans and wiring issues, odometer does not work, rear window leaks water into the trunk, etc.

One way to help cure this addiction is to find a car that you really like and that has no issues that you can't fix. In my own experience, I used to keep looking at other cars when my own had something that bothered me. Sounds like you might be having the same problem.

I think you are on to something. I wish I could find a really perfect W115 diesel then I may stop buying more diesels.
Now I also have an interest in a convertible, that is next on my aganda.

OK but I prefer hard top convertible.
If MB then 06 and newer SL, I really like the 09 SL but it is too new and too rich for me, I would have to wait few years for the depreciation to really kick in.

An SL500 would be more then enough but for some real fun look for the SL55 AMG. These days you can get a good example for not much more then a normal SL500.

I bought two this year.

Try and sell them to people you either know would take care of them, or to someone who'd always dreamed of having one, after you've bought them, fixed them, and shined them up.

That has helped me with this problem this year.

But still always keep your favorite one.

Yeah, wish you had told me ahead of time that you were selling that 2nd 560SEC, I would have picked it up in a heartbeat. My collection is 1/3 complete but i'm trying to pace myself
