I was never a fan, but seeing this makes me feel a little less annoyed at the endless string of AARP advertisements i receive.

Anyone here a member? Do they really offer useful discounts for insurance and other services?

Me too. I don't like AARP's political bent. I do not want my dues supporting a "special interest group"--lobbyists, with which I disagree.

What is your principle objection--I would have thought you approved of their platform.

The principle is much simpler. If I join, I admit to being part of the "old retired group".........and I refuse to admit to that.........yet.
