Who had a good Canada Day?

My calendar says that Wednesday was Canada Day. Did anyone gather the family around the Canada Tree and sing Canada Carols? Or do I have y'all's holiday all wrong?

You didn't hear?? Canadians are mad about the auto bailout..... They started half the oil wells in the country on fire and had a wiener and marshmellow roast.... Canada day is well known for it's riots....

Hey, I did!

Have a happy Canada Day, that is. No tree dancing. Or singing.

Chilled by the pool, kids had a blast swimming, had some guests for dinner, drinks, did a fireworks show for the kids. All in all, a great day.

I missed going to Ottawa this year - the fireworks display at Parliament Hill is incredible, and the vibe is always great. A few hundred thousand people in the heart of downtown Ottawa and everyone is having a great time.

A day away from your turn...so happy July 4th!

It was a pretty standard Canada Day for our family. A day of downhill skiing followed by drinking hot rum toddys around the fire, bundled up in our warmest wool sweaters.

Soooo, I googled Canada Day and found a photo of Queen Elizabeth II participating in some Canada Day activities.

Until recently, I never knew that Canada was part of a Commonwealth ruled by Queen Elizabeth II. You think that would be something they would've taught in high school world history.

Snow is gone!

When it was created, July 1 was the date you could rely upon that the snow was all gone. Now because of the scare of global warming, that date has been moved to June 31, in the same year.

Because that was the day, in 1867, that the provinces of Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia joined together to form Canada.

Awesome Canada Day. The only trees hugged were probably at the Sierra Club BBQ on the West Coast
