Merecedes SLS Gullwing

I'm not sure what to think of this new Gullwing, the head lights seems to be out of place and the back could have been more aggressive.

Yep, just trying to work out the kinks. The only MB that I saw that remotely looked like their production model was the new SLK with the big "F1-inspired!!" schnozzola.

Might look like this, sharp car. Kind of retro like the Mustang which I really don't like.

IMHO when a car company starts doing retro it means they have run out of ideas.

I'm not wild about the headlights, remind me of a Ferrari 612 which isn't a very pretty car.

Looks like someone slapped a star on a Porsche 911 or Cayman.

I don't know where the red car comes from but it's not the new SLS.

LOL!

Great one, Rleo!

I like the headlights on the red one better....I bet the red one is an artist's best guess based on spy shots of the test mule.

Or, they have finally figured out that when I was 20something and broke I lusted after a Mustang and now at 50something I have money to burn and still lust after a Mustang. Jeez, sometimes I feel like I have a (marketing) target painted on me.

If you're referencing the Z series BMW . . . that design is credited to the current BMW design chief, Adrian van Hooydonk.

His first car design to go into production was severely polarising. Though Chris Bangle shouldered much of the publically expressed anger concerning the forth generation 7 series styling, it was in fact Von Hooydonk who penned the car’s lines.

I met Adrian van Hooydonk a couple of times when he was still the head of BMW Designworks in LA. He did some of the designs that are credited to Bangle.
