Does anybody have any experience on shipping a MB from Europe?
I (well, my father) has a 92 260e* (almost positive) with very little miles, and an excellent body. I was wondering if you guys had any info on the process of shipping a car over to the U.S., or if it is even worth it.
The car has only 100k kilometers on the clock, 5 speed, cloth interior, hubcaps. Bought in Germany, driven to greece. The car would cost me nothing other than the shipping, + federalization Is it worth it? What costs are incurred in this process? thanks in advance.

Since it doesn't yet qualify for the 25 year exemption, federalizing and shipping the car will likely exceed it's value. There were 9,337 built in 1992.

So if the car is 25 years old, its exempt? As in I can ship it over without having to federalize?

I believe there is a list of cars that meet specs without being 25 YO. But, it's been a long time since I messed with import stuff.

You have to wait until it turns 25, so 2017ish.
Although they did import the 260E in the 80's so you might be able to get it in.
