In the "O" plan, you're in a plan, whether you want to be or not...and don't think for one second you're not putting any money towards it...it ain't free...even during the depression, apples cost money.

You're going to pay for it, one way or another.

And AFAIC, 49M uninsured...yeah, right...we have no control of our borders, we can't even keep our voting records straight...and we are suppose to believe that the goobers in boobermint can run something as complicated as determining what's what in healthcare?

Listen, I'd rather give YOU a flattened-out spoon and have YOU do an appendectomy on ME than wait 3 months for some minimum-waged employment-agency morning walk-in to decide if I qualify for a manicure to treat a hangnail when I need a bloody, bloated appendage removed before I die of toxic-shock.

WE don't need another boobermint agency formed out of the ooze that permeates the area within the beltway...we need common sense rules that need to be followed and enforced to stop the fraud and speed up resolutions...not another nanny-agency replacing a working model that shines to the whole world.

Boobermint NEVER has done anything better than Private Industry. Period.

And anyone that argues differently, is either a professor at a public university or is a professional gambler/liar...

Making a choice? If I could have/afford health coverage, I'd have it! I have no way of currently obtaining it short of finding a job that provides it, and that, too, is extremely difficult right now.

Obviously I'd pay for the "O" option. The idea is to have everyone pay, for an everyone included, system. Every other industrialized nation does it successfully, why not us?

If you don't want to believe how many people don't have insurance...go ahead...it doesn't mean that they are not out there.

People think that because the government is "running" or paying for health care, that you go into a doctors office and see a government worker....not the case. You see a DOCTOR. Just like anywhere else.

Our country needs a public option for health care, the current system will collapse on itself in due time anyways. Costs are climbing rapidly, for no good reason. Its called greed. And a system run by the private sector is concerned about profit and CEO pay, not the health of your average individual.

Majority in U.S. Favors Healthcare Reform This Year

Controlling costs a higher priority than expanding coverage

PRINCETON, NJ -- As U.S. House leaders unveil a plan to reform the U.S. healthcare system, a USA Today/Gallup poll finds 56% of Americans in favor and 33% opposed to Congress' passing major healthcare reform legislation this year. Support for healthcare reform before the end of the year is sharply split along party lines, with 79% of Democrats in favor, compared with only 23% of Republicans.

You fix what's broke, you don't throw out a whole system because of the errors of a few.

Unlike most common-sensed folks, everyone else is jumping in-line for their first physical (or maybe not...now that they realize what's going on) and those that are, are not looking 5, 10, 15 years down the line, let alone even 'til next year, to see what the costs are going to be, let alone what a whole new boobermint organization, birthed behind the idea of compassion, but spawned from the bowels of control, is actually going to cost us.

But, if the swan-song/siren-call (pun intended) is too strong for those folks to see the danger they are getting themselves into, nothing said on this thread, let alone a mountain of evidence after the fact, is going to change their mind.

History is repeating itself, not being made for the first time.

The problem? Those that think it's being made will always refuse to heed the warnings (yes, warnings) from the historical perspective.

Boobermints NEVER do anything for the benefit of the many. They do it to keep themselves in power.

Our country was founded on principles and ideas foreign to the rest of the world. That is why folks COME to our country.

Why do WE want to lower ourselves back into the abyss of 3rd-Worldism?

I guess it's too hard to be a beacon to the rest of the world anymore.

However, I don't like being a loser. That's why I don't care for any of this plan, regardless the "compassion" that it's suppose to bring to the masses. All it's doing is replacing what's not broke with an unknown mass of boobercratic-level involvement in private matters.

If you're happy with the IRS's involvement in your finances, I'm willing to bet folks are just orgasmic over the thought that "O-Care" is coming down the pike.
