I think he had a crisis of faith and it was finally resolved by him killing as many US soldiers as he could. I believe he was struggling with it since Sep 2001 when he saw that we could be going to war against his muslim brothers. It finally came to a head and he made up his mind where he should be. What's so implausable about that?

Certainly

Murdering people is murdering people. I wouldn't be able to tell the parents of Columbine's dead that this event is somehow worse.

It only does that if you are willing to believe that what one person does is a reflection on all people. Which means that McVeigh makes all Americans look bad. So does Dahmer. No thank you.
As for god is great, perhaps his motivation was indeed Islamic terrorism. We don't know. But I saw a PBS show about an archaelogical dig in Egypt, and in it, some locals had to lift a large, heavy stone. Before heaving, they'd yell, "God is great". It's a very widely used expression, so IMO, it's not that telling.

Funny thing on Fox News Sunday this morning. Brit Hume goes off on how it's an act of Islamist terror, and Chris Wallace says, "Is the reluctance to call it that based on the lack of facts..."
LOL. Burn.

Probably the PC solution would be to find him insane, lock him up in some hospital with supervision from his mindfawk buddies.

So, how well did you know this guy, to understand what he was thinking?

What makes you think it is a nutball? He simply found where his loyalty lay. Even the higher up brass knew muslims would be an issue. Why do you think they had to get clearence from a Saudi Cleric before deployment in Afghanistan.

What combat stress did he go thru? He wasn't even a combat officer. He has been trying to get out since Sep 11 2001 when he saw that he might have to oppose his brothers..

as a VA doctor ( shrink ) an air condition med unit is as about as close as he would get, and even if they brought anyone to the unit he might never see them it would be in a different building, shrink office in the field would be set up like something you would see in the states with a regular doctor - jz

Forgive me if I don't give a rip about what the mindfawks recommend. They are just "buy an opinion" people as far as I am concerned. Care to explain how the prosecutors found 2 mindfawks that said a woman who was giving her now 2 dead and 1 brain damaged kids a rock party sane and her 2 mindfawks said she was insane? As a kid I could turn them around my finger. Sorry, I have about as much respect for them and their profession as I do for your face reading abilities.

I blame his leaders. Surely he has some superiors that should have been monitoring him and weeded him out.

Tell me. Life was good until 2001 when he tried to get out of his contract. What happened in 2001, can you refresh my memory? Also, maybe you can tell me why we had to consult a cleric for permission for muslims to go to war with muslims? What does this tell me of the brass's opinion of where their loyalties might lie?

Eventually, you and I would have a similar idea. At that point, you would deem it rational. Till then, if it disagrees with you, it is irrational since you are the standard of rationality.

Correct again, that makes twice in a row. Would you like to quit now or try for the really big prizes?

People yelling "God is great!" has significance...otherwise, why yell at all? Why not grunt like a pig or an ox? You're "asking" God (which ever one you believe in...) to "help" you with the task you're about to achieve. No different than the Japanese yelling "Bonzia!" or WWI and WWII troops yelling "Geronimo!" before heading off towards the enemy. It's a battle cry, a moral booster...and a warning to others that something is about to happen...good luck to your side.

As for Chris Wallace's "burn" (yah, right!) ...

The simple answer? Nope.

The real reason? It's chicken*hit political correctness that's preventing people from calling a spade a spade and an Islamic nimrod screaming "Allah Akbar!" and shooting everyone around him an Islamist terrorist, or at least, his actions the acts of Islamist terror.

Facts are facts.

How they came to be "the facts" is for speculation.

Now, if you can find that the nutjob was ACTUALLY an undercover Neo-Nazi-hate group member and was paid off by ex-Bush administration officials to perform this act of terror, it could be considered that we didn't have enough "facts" to call his actions those of Islamist terror.

But, I think the FACTS have already been shown and proved.

Send in the clowns/mindfawks...It's "post-mortem" time.

BTW...how will YOU react if you and your FAMILY happen to be out and about and all of a sudden, you hear some fruit-cake start screaming "ALLAH AKBAR! DOG IS GREAT!"

You going to head over to him and introduce your wife and kids to Mr. Screwloose?

I'm dragging whoever is with me behind the biggest column or post, or pushing my family out whatever orifice that building has and hoping that there are two or more lazer-dots on the idiot's forehead before he has a chance to show us how great his "dog" is.

Any imaum who continues to teach that the "kill the others" philosophy is just as valid today as it was over 800 years ago, is teaching nothing more than the ramblings and growlings of a dog. Interpreted by the same.

"AKBAR" that.

I don't believe in that crap so I doubt I will ever take more than the psych class I had to take. But obviously, you believe in that tripe so where did YOU get yours?

Whatever you do, don't answer the simple questions posed otherwise it might reveal things you are uncomfortable with.

I'd go for the big one. I should have voted for you insted of Obama. I had poor eyesight and could only make out Obama and McCain. Now, with them covering my health, I might actually get lasix and be able to see your name.

Take on unstable person. Gain their trust. Toss whatever you want at them and they'll believe it.
