Rear wheel bearings - BMW E30
My rear wheel bearings are making noise. Have been for a while and I have to stop putting it off. Anybody done it? I know some sort of puller is required and perhaps a way to press it back on.
I just don't want to get it all apart and realize I need to hunt for special tools for a couple of days. I have a lot of work on the table now (go figure) and I can't afford a lengthy repair. I might even break down and farm this one out.

I go there and to bimmerfest now and then but the advice here is often more timely and useful. I'll go there now and give it a try.

Bimmer forums has been a disappointment this time around. 50 looks and no response. Bimmerfest did much better - two good posts within an hour. Word is the job is tough and you ought to get the specified puller. Around $275. Maybe I could rent it out if I buy it.
