ripping music from ipod to pc?

Powerpig recommended a program for me to use to get my music off my ipod and back to my pc after the wonderful 7 upgrade. Anyone know of a good, free ripping program. I used to know of one but I cannot remember it for the life of me

If you attach the iPod as a hard disk, you can go into the directories and get out your music files. To add new songs I have used this program http://www.nch.com.au/rip/index.html

It seems to work pretty well to create mp3 files. Then i stick them into iTunes...

Dumb question; you didn't have a backup prior to installing win7?

we did clone the drive and when we went to go pull stuff off of the clone the clone was corrupted, talk about awesome.

I had this issue before when I moved from an old laptop to this one and I used Floola(when it was free!) and transfered all my music painlessly

If you're looking for an actual music 'manager' and player, you should try Media Monkey. Clean, fast, and full featured.

And best of all, free.

And second best of all, it ain't iTunes.

PowerPig has recommended Media Monkey to me, too.

Another reason Apple sucks. Be careful with those programs, I've used them before and lost all my music. Hmm.. try this http://lifehacker.com/105256/how-to-copy-songs-from-your-ipod-to-your-pc

Didnt know you could do that.
