Very true on a deeper level !!

But on the surface both usually provide the same thing . Whether its paid for with money or a vote the end result is usually a good screwing as both become better with practice.

How do you figure it involves a risk? Gambling at the casino is a risk. You can win but probably will lose. Gambling with congress is not a risk. It is a sure thing. You lose. Maybe not this way but that or that other way. Maybe you make $500 at this table but when you go home, somebody will mug you for the $500 plus whatever credit cards you have. A huge risk would be having a child molester watch your kids. A sure thing is letting congress get it's hands on money in the name of helping you. Sure thing that you will get burnt in ways you don't even understand.

Before you say anything, look at their recent behavior? I don't care if you look at Dem first or Rep first. Yes, we used to have the "Tax and Spend Democrat" but those were words and the Republicans have also their own version of it. Find any other quality of congress and each side will have their version of it. It isn't that clear cut anymore, if it ever was. Look at all the large pools of money and the way they appropriate it for their use. Think that is a risk? Letting someone manage more money when they can't even handle what they have is not a risk. It is a certain thing.
