Mercedes Ordered to Pay $482,000 for "Lemon" E-Class
2005 E-Class Lemon Fine May be Largest Award
Despite the pending judgment, customer Marco Marquez, a 37-year-old businessman from Waukesha, called the case "a complete nightmare" and said he was still waiting for his money back. Once a big fan of Mercedes-Benz who has owned several of its cars, he now says he'll never buy another. It all started when Marquez, who owns Mexican restaurants in Waukesha and Janesville, purchased the E 320 for $56,000 from a Milwaukee dealership in 2005. I know, but I thought it would be impolite to tell Powerpig that. Check the date and time stamp of the original posts, Skippy. |

I stand corrected.
I wonder why the other thread got so many more replies than this one.

I think the manufacturers figure litigation costs into their production model.
they count on being sued somewhere sometime by someone and adjust their pricing accordingly. therefore, the consumer is paying for his own payouts up front. |
