Incredible pictures. My dad was in the New Guinea and Luzon campaign as a combat medic. He was an avid amateur photographer and had hundreds of photos much like the ones on the Denver Post website. In later years, he had Alzheimer's and decided that the whole bunch of the photos were in his way. He threw them in the trash. Thank you for sharing these pics, they bring back fond memories of my dad and the sacrifices that he and his generation made.
