If I take up smoking but become optimistic about it then I gain 5 years? Cool! I gotta remember to circle October 3rd, 2031 on the calender. Let's see, cancel all insurance policies on the 4th, arrange for the cryogenics space, leave instructions for release of the video showing JFK's real assassin ...

Mine aren’t so bad actually. I’m just an aviator.

Darby (my wife), on the other hand, is an aerobatic choreographer.

Not quite sure why, but that did cross my mind.

Not sure if I should (needed to)or not, but I went ahead and bumped it off a few days.

Mark Twain would tell a joke about a lady who went the Doctor for a check-up.

The Doctor told her to quit smoking, quit drinking and, most of all, quit her immoral ways with men or she had but six months to live.

She replied that smoking was of the Devil, her lips had never touched liquor, and she had not 'known' a man in over 50 years.

So there you have it: This poor woman was a sinking ship with no freight to throw overboard. If she had been doing these things she could quit and live another 20 years, but, sadly, she had but six months left and her next destination that day was to the Undertaker.

So, fellow travler, remember this tale the next time you are tempted to take up a bad habit, and lift a glass high for those who do not and are surely doomed to die before their time.
