It is a Rube Goldberg device, which is a "machine" that performs a series of events to do a simple task. I judged one of these contests in college. They are quite fun to watch, especially if you are a science nerd like me.

This one is set to a music video. I guess the band requested it. It is quite remarkable and entertaining.
