Talking Buy a boat get a super car free

Luxury yacht comes with free custom supercar

As boat accessories go, a bespoke supercar is probably the most extravagant. But that's exactly what millionaire buyers of the £17m Strand Craft SC122 will get.
Beating the Bugatti Veyron hands down for exclusivity, the supercar has 880bhp from its twin-turbo V12 engine and a claimed top speed of 234mph. Only six will be built, each capable of hitting 60mph from rest in 3.2 seconds.
Designed by Eduard Gray, the car is so synonymous with the yacht that the company doesn't seem to have named it. The supercar will spend most of its time in the custom garage below deck while its owner enjoys the supreme luxury of the yacht.
The SC122 is a vision of absolute splendour inside and out, kitted out with 52-inch televisions and a Bang & Olufsen surround sound system in every room. There are four double bedrooms, too.
Its power dwarfs that of the accompanying supercar. Twin Rolls-Royce engines each pump out over 4,000bhp, and there's an optional 5,000bhp booster if the standard amount just won't do.
That power enables the yacht to reach 55 knots - though at just over 60mph, it's actually quite sluggish compared to the car.

At full throttle, (assuming you can find a place to do it, without dire risk to your driver's license in these out of joint of times) in the Bugatti Veyron, you can drive for 12 minutes before you RUN OUT OF GAS - on a full tank!!

: I would rather spend those 12 minutes in the arms of a beautiful compliant female, for the matter of that!

Who cares if they drink lots of Persian Perrier, just charge it to the Atlanta Falcons and just enjoy the ride.

Its like a Wally just not as cool, IMHO.

Everyone knows that Zonda's go with Wally's.

That boat is made for oil rich arabs to cruise the med on, remember that when you fill your car up. Hence fuel burn isn't much of a concern, with triple gas turbines its going to be a rather impressive burn rate to...probably far north of 1k gallons an hour.

How much fuel does a 767 airliner burn per hour?

Boat's going to burn more because the motors work harder.

Remember marine engines operate at 80% load all the time. Its the same as hooking a 2k pound trailer up to your car and running it up a steep hill non stop at 80% throttle.

They don't coast like a car or plane would. Even planes throttle back when they cruise.

Get me a old aluminum hulled Chris Craft roamer and I'm good.

There was a fairly nice one that popped up for sale at my lake of choice. Nice shape, marine air, generator, and good motors for $5000. It was tempting, but I knew better...

I love the lines of the old Chris Crafts.

The Cavaliers (like the CL one) are plywood hulled, not necessarily bad just more inexpensive to build. I'd go with a Sea Skiff (lapstreak) if you're drawn to wood. The old Commanders still have those classic lines but in fiberglass. I've been tempted by several of those. Thusfar I've resisted.
