Well, It Finally Happened

Went out this morning to prep the greasecar for my upcoming trip to CT tomorrow and noticed the hood star (brand new) leaning over. I checked the other cars and several were vandalized. Emblems pried off the SL600, 560SEC, BMW Z3 and the wife's new Nissan Xterra. Obviously kids with nothing to do. Police took a report so now I have to deal with the insurance company while I'm out of town. Paint was gouged on a couple of them down to the bare metal. Gonna be a pain moving all these cars to the shop. Funny thing is they left the Jaguar and two of the Mercedes alone.

Thumbs down That is awful.

I am very very sorry to hear that, Kevin....

I think a bucket of hydrochloric acid splashed in their PARENTS' eyes would be the most appropriate punishment, for this, if you could be guaranteed to get away with it.

It's too bad you don't have some CCTV cameras that are motion activated covering your cars. If the little prick(s) that did that had to pay for it out of their own pockets, they might think twice about doing something like that again.

Mother****ers

Yeah I agree that cameras should be installed or give a big FU to the neighborhood and move to a house that has some serious garage space.

Either way I think all the neighborhood parents should be contacted with a letter (If they pulled the hoodstars out they are bound to have kept them as opposed to selling them or anything like that) Someone knows who did this that's for sure.

Besides their probable usefulness in thsi situation, I figured if anyone could rig up something like that, it would be powerpig. He has the know how when it comes to computers and video stuff to do something like that.

Well, I did mount a cam in the wife's shower a while back. In any event, cameras will be mounted upon my return from CT. I'll be picking up a new hood star in New London tomorrow.

Bummer dude, I'm sure it feels like you've been violated.

Problem is... Most people view a driveway full of cars as an eyesore. 98 percent of the population doesn't give a **** about cars, they are more concerned with making sure the neighborhood meets their definition of "nice".

If you send the letters, it's likely that the parents of the little vandals would be secretly pleased you got hit.

Cameras are MUCH more effective.

BTDT, now I live on 5 acres with no *****head neighbors.

Jim

Don't you work for the DoD?

Can't you have one of those nifty satellites watch over your house at night?

Oh and since you mentioned your trip to Connecticut, don't forget your Banana phone:

That's right FOOL, you left me standing by the mailbox one too many times. I smashed your Mercedes emblem with said mailbox and then I wiped it on my A$$.

In the house I am moving to soon, I will have enough room to stow both MB's safely inside, and if I ever get another I will add a camera to watch it.
