tail light lens popped off- what kind of adhesive?

the clear lens popped off (the 'reverse'). the lens is fine but i need to glue it back on. i want to do it right because if i lose it on the road i will have to replace the whole assembly.

what adhesive do you recommend i use to put it back on? Here is the pic of the volvo lens assembly-only the clear part came off.

Invest in this stuff:

http://www.rhinoglue.com/

I used it to fix about a dozen things on the cars and around the house already. You have to order it online though. I haven't seen it at any stores.

3M Trim Adhesive - you want a good seal so moisture doesn't get in.
