Anyone ever consider buying a lift for their garage?

Like the title says...

I was just thinking about it today, I was thinking about a portable unit. One that mount to the floor and can be moved when not needed.

Something like this MaxJax unit

40" is about as high as it goes seems like...

Its around 2k..thats not bad.

I hate being the fuddy-duddy... but you will certainly have swiss cheese by the time you are done 'putting' that lift away whenever you feel like it.

My old friend who is now in North Las Vegas (mramay - an infrequent poster who with his wife, I flew both of them up here a week ago) have a great hoist system in their garage.

The hoist made the 2 car garage become a 3 car one. All 3 are of his cars, are 1987 W126 model Mercedes Benzes, (2 coupes "Bling" and "Frankenbenz" and one sedan "Lisa").

The top car is his "Frankenbenz project - a new C6 Corvette engine is going in that one "to make Lexus drivers so scared they will spill their Latte's".
