Ok, not really. But today I decided to replace the air filter and fuel filter. Both looked newer. But after taking off the air filter, it was clear it had some miles. Then I did the fuel filter, which was a learning experience. When I had it off I back flowed the fuel inside and noting but black fuel poured out! Pretty nasty. I can just imagine what was stuck to the filter element.
And before anyone says to do so, I already know the tank is pretty clean. When I did my sending unit I took a very good look inside. No varnish, etc. It was surprisingly clean. Even my sending unit looked new. So I think the filter was just due to be changed. I also think some of my fuel lines may be part of the blackening issues. Those will get replaced this winter.
