Did any of you notice what political party affiliation were those involved in this scandal?
Probably not! According to a Nexus search, of the 300 stories, only ONE mentioned that the accused were all democrats. More objective media coverage? When are you all going to realize that the media you want to believe is telling you the truth is lying and covering up to promote a political agenda? Is that OK when its the same agenda you desire? Let me be fair and point out that these are only allegations of wrong-doing; no one has been convicted, yet. However, if the alleged perps had been repubs, or even tea party people, do you think that the media would have avoided mentioning the party affiliation?

Numerous accounts here in IL, not quite as bad.
One mayor was taking down just under 500k, claimed he was filling several positions so he got several paychecks. Then here they are constantly giving people HUGE raises, allowing them to cash HUGE accured(?) vacation / sick days right before they retire. This inflates their final salary and therefore their pension payouts. Some pensions have been bumped by 50 % by these games. Funny, when I worked for a firm that allowed us to bank our OT/vacation days we were limited to 120 days I think. Beyond that the IRS considered it deferred compensation and extra taxes would be applied. So they never let us accumulate more than that. Our VP did sometimes, off the books. Some of these people cashed close to 500 days, funny isn't it. Here's my thought Do as I Say, Not as I do Remember back a few years ago when our politicians decided that the CEOs, the captains of industry, were making to much money, getting too fat pensions etc etc. They proceeded to pound the table, yell and scream, appear on every TV show that would have them, televised hearings etc etc. Even made them give up some and pay back some !!! Well we have been getting regular reports of public officials getting excessive pay (extremely excessive IMHO in some cases), inflated pensions, benefits etc etc. Our lovely politicians haven’t said a word, not a peep. Are they afraid to attack they’re fellow public servants (Glass house?) Do they support a double standard ? Or are the two classes in this country really the public and the public servants (sic).
