They were canned - and the only thing we had left to eat in a Vermont cabin one winter night. We made the best of it. Not bad on a cracker with a shot of vodka or whiskey.

1 lb. Webber sausage
1 lb. hamburger
1 lb. Velveeta cheese
1 sm. onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
Party rye bread

Brown sausage, hamburger and onion; drain well. Add garlic salt and oregano. Cut the Velveeta cheese and add to the mixture, stirring until cheese melts. Spoon onto the party rye bread. Place on a cookie sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 5-6 minutes. Serve hot.
