Try these: These pics show it with the orange stripe I added. The Honda motor is a bit more bulky than the pushrod pinto motor so it seems to be expanding out through the skin like the Hulk!

The ff is at my Indie's now getting lightness added. They got two of the calipers mounted and got far enough to discover that the new half shaft I bought is too long. I called the mfgr and found the fellow had ordered the axles special and when he went to install them found they would not work for him. So, he knew it would not fit my car most likely and allowed me to buy his problem with no warning.

I am thinking about the only redress I have is to call him out on the apexspeed forum. I guess maybe I could get help from the credit card company....or paypal. I am not sure how I paid.

Post Sellers

I'd ask him first, be polite and if he blows smoke on you, fire away .

I really dislike unscrupulous sellers but sometimes it's a simple mistake...

Don't go off half cocked .

Good luck this season. I like the term "lightness added" never heard that before.

Just a reminder....

This morning I went to Pelican Parts for a willcall and took my 14 Y.O. Foster boy along, he's smart and inquisitive, I'm always cautioning him about meeting people on line, he said he's pissed off at some of his gaming buddies who can apparently be real jerks at times ~ I reminded him that communications without actual faces often means mis understandings ~ I looked at him, smiled and said "! **** YOU MAN !, he laughed and i said 'now what if some guy on line said the same thing ? ..

He looked thoughtful a while before responding .

When I was younger I used to get into fights all the time over nothing, then I (kinda/sorta) grew up and learned not to fly off the handle so easily .

Yeah, I am going to have them shortened by a local metal wizard.

The other new to me axles that are drilled will be installed and I am not cutting the other axles at least for now. He says they will be finished on Friday. Fortunately the weather has turned to spring and I probably will be able to get the trailer out and the car loaded for a trip to the old air field at Walesboro near Columbus In for their famous snow or shine event on February 28.

Woo Hooooooo!

i picked it up yesterday. Today i topped off the fuel and checked tire pressures. Filled the extra tank too and loaded my autocross tools. Also checked the lug nuts.

Tomorrow is predicted to offer some dry pavement to run on. If not I have rain gear and rain tires.

So we got lucky as it stopped raining just as we began the first run group. It got up to nearly 60 degrees. The track was slick in spots and had some puddles here and there. We got six runs each. I found my brakes needed bleeding pretty badly. I had a co driver today so we bled the front brakes on the grid. I did not bleed the back brakes because I did not think he opened them to install the new aluminum calipers but probably should have bled them too. The car ran well but the course was wet numerous places and I think we were the only car on slicks so we did not get great times. Middle pack 21st out of 37. The course had a lot of open spaces and was nearly an oval.

In looking at the results today I believe we may have been the only car to not have treaded tires....so that was a major factor.

Good first run after major service....nothing leaked or fell off. Got home about 5 pm.
