A used cell phone and a butane grill lighter.

Now my wife can call me to get dinner started.

An entire WII system, AFAIK.

I was hoping for 4 call girls, 3 french maids and two drunken twins and a partridge in a pear tree.

If we have a roof over our head, food in our stomach and good health, we have enough.

Lowepro Pro Runner 300 AW camera bag so I can carry my equipment:

Nikon D90 w/ grip (dual battery mount)
Nikon D80 2nd body
Nikon 18-55mm kit lens
Nikon 55-200mm VR lens
Tokina 12-24mm DXII ultra wide angle lens
Sigma 150mm APO HSM macro lens
Sigma 2x teleconverter

It also has allocated straps and mount for a compact tripod. Not sure if my Manfrotto tripod will fit, haven't tested it yet.

I need something to fill up that last spot! Maybe a flash unit in the future?

All my friends and family know I am researching World War 2 for a film a friend of mine is making next year, so I got a lot of books about the very early days of World War 2 in and around the Czech Republic.

Good group of company from far and wide showed up for christmas dinner. This happens every year weather permitting. . As you age we seem to get token gifts and have little ideal of what we would really want to recieve anyways. Nothing would be fine as well.

This makes buying something for the wife a real challenge. Usually by our age you already have enough stuff but it still gets added to. Actually too much stuff accumulates with time anyways.. She always enjoys cooking and baking for several days before christmas. It is a lot of work and a little tiring so she retires a little earlier than usual this evening.

We all sat around the dining table discussing how much damage we respectivly took in the recient storms up here this week. We were very lucky as our only loss was a downspout at the cotttage and a lot of storm residue washed ashore to clean up off the front lawn there as well .

I was not very interested in driving out till the wife mentioned the water was nine feet higher than normal during the storm surges. THe placid little creek that runs down beside us was seventy feet wide. The crashing waves quite spectacular out front.

We also had to set the outside christmas decorative items back into place at home. We aquired an interesting eight to nine foot high commercial model of santa clause a few years ago at a yard sale. . He actually seems to dance in high winds. Well he at least appears somewhat animated with arms and body gyrations in the wind. This fellow has a constant blower to keep him inflated and was used in a local chain store until the fire marshall banned him there as a fire hazzard. I guess you could say officialdom kicked santa clause out in that case.

Some other people that were present today will have to deal with serious errosion problems and blown away shingles etc. The wind was so strong at times you could barely stand up and the heavy rain was endless for several days.

Things are so uncertain in the economy I did notice the year ahead was never broached by anyone present. That by the way was unusual.

Winter is here now but still no snow or cold temperatures yet. The ground shows no sign of freezing yet either. Florida has been colder this year. Generally just a relaxed time occured here with some humour that usually takes place.

As a previouis poster mentioned. Having a roof over our heads and good health etc is what we should really be happy about. We take too much almost for granted in my opinion. I know in the back of my mind I feel less than happy some families out there are really struggling in many ways. .
