Top "Birther" loses SCOTUS case, hints at violence on her web site

Now that they've actually shot someone, it's time to start paying attention to threats of right wing violence. Here's top Birther Orly Taitz, commenting on her web site about how:

If we don’t clean up corruption in the Judiciary, in the White House, citizens of this country will have no trust in the system and will take justice in their own hands. This is dangerous.
If you want to see the type of lunacy in action that resulted in the murder of five people by a right wing lunatic, feel free to take a tour of this paranoid website:

Associated Press and Bloomberg news reported that the Supreme Court refused to hear my petition. They did so without a comment. | Dr. Orly Taitz Esquire

According to Alex Jones, who just happens to be a violent, right wing lunatic. Funny how you take that website as "fact". You can believe the propaganda all you want, the truth will be coming out, and it's not going to work out well for you.

BTW, did you know William F. Buckley smoked pot and wanted it legalized ? How exactly does pot make him a "left winger"?

I was quoting a person who knew the shooter. she tweeted that right after the uproar. I posted it in the locked down thread, you can find it, I dont have time to.

BTW, not only birthers and RWNJs spewing violent type rhetoric. To whit:
"That’s exactly what Barack Obama said he would do to counter Republican attacks “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said at a Philadelphia fundraiser Friday night. “Because from what I understand folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans.”"

Everybody uses "target" and "fight" allegories and intimations when describing the political process, partly because that is what it used to be, and still is in some countries. Groups struggle to rule over others...so sorry.

Perhaps you can explain to all of us what Sharon Angle meant when she said a "Second Amendment Solution" would be necessary if she lost her election?

Im confused. Does smoking pot make you a left winger or being a left winger make you smoke pot?

My problem is this. I am a left winger but I don't/have never smoked anything (actually no on in my family has). I know a few right winger who has smoked pot and would like to continue but his job prevents him from doing so. Do I need to change political parties? Do they?

neither, the tweeter (is that a real word?) said that he was a "pot smoking COMMA liberal. They are exclusive terms combined to describe one person.

It's called grasping at straws. We do not have all the evidence, but at this point, the evidence points to a Timothy McVeigh-type, a disaffected loner who frequented right-wing paranoid conspiracy sites like Txjakes "Prison Planet" and decided to lash out at those he feels is responsible for his paranoia using his God-given Second Amendment rights. "Prison planet" should be congratulated for going on a wise pre-emptive strike, given that they are about to be implicated in the mess, IMO.

I never understood the whole left/right metaphor anyway. Is the assumption that some folks have a specific set of beliefs (sometimes inconsistent) on a wide range of subjects and that qualifies them to be in one club or the other? Anyone who actually thinks for themselves and does not fully agree with all the aspects is not a "real conservative/real liberal"?

Are we in the third grade?

I always thought it was funny too, liberal/conservative are not binaries, nor do they correspond to left/right, blue/red, dem/repub etc. Many on this forum who demonstrate this point also fail to identify it within themselves!

I just think it's intellectually lazy to use these labels instead of explaining positions on specific issues. Whenever I hear "All you left/right wing....blah, blah" I just tune out because I know I'm not going to hear anything productive.
