Supposedly, it was a merger but what I am unclear of is whether there is a Thermos and the Thermos Nissan is an upper line.

On THIS page they list 5 brands

Thermos
Thermos Nissan
Element 5
Raya
Foogo
I think Nissan was a separate brand bought out by Thermos, but I'm not positive about that. I bought a Thermos Nissan several years ago and it worked great - kept hot liquids piping hot for about 6 hours or so. Portable, durable, drop-resistant, leakproof. Only thing that I didn't like about it was the plastic sipping top absorbed the coffee flavor so I couldn't really use the thermos for tea. This is the one I got:

I'd recommend a Nissan, they have different models that are rated for different amounts of time so pay attention to the specs.

I bought the Stanley combo pack, thermos and travel mug at Walmart for roughly $20.
I haven't tested it under the conditions you described but it did do well outside for an hour at 30 degrees or so.

As someone mentioned before, preheating it with hot water helps a lot.

I had a great uncle who went out for beer and never came back. Not ever. Nobody in the family seemed to miss him much.

If he was such a great uncle, how come nobody missed him?
