I just saw this movie with my mother yesterday. She usually falls asleep at the movie theater, but she stayed awake for the whole thing! And I enjoyed watching it very much. I haven't seen True Grit, but people have told me its good...I don't think I will though...but who knows.

I wasn't going to see King's Speech until I was in marketing class and our professor showed the trailer. I enjoyed seeing Geoffrey Rush and Colin Firth. They did their job well. Even if they didn't look like the people they were supposed to portray. Also, wonderful to see Helena Bonham Carter play a NORMAL character instead of some crazy lady for once.

Everything looked wonderful, and even though the whole movie was about speech I actually enjoyed it! Did not get bored at any moment.

Also, movies are rated R because of certain swears? Or too much swearing? Because there was pretty much nothing else that bad in the movie. But no one under 18 was there. 90% of the people in the theater for the showing I went to were over 60 @.@ My mom felt young, and I felt like a baby.

Not enough, screaming, shooting, screwing and swearing for the "regular" audience. When my wife and I saw it it was the same way. Also noticed the audience was white as Utah powder. Most unusual for this part of Phoenix. It was like we'd been transported to an alternate reality.

Ah...makes sense. Well, to be fair, its a British movie...people my age tend to find them boring...but I'm eclectic. I can like a wide range of movies. And music. People get shocked when I tell them I like a particular classical piece...or that the first time I heard Nessun Dorma I started tearing up.

King's Speech was a wonderful film in my opinion. I kind of wanted to see it because I'm not good at presenting in front of class and such, so I figured maybe watching it would help me out with that. Part of me wonders if swearing in my head during pauses while presenting will actually help. Haha.
