When I attended the Cabin Fever Expo (York, PA) in January, one of the exhibitors built a 1/6 scale 1932 Duesenberg, right down to the running engine. It was the result of 20,000 hours of work, and was an exact replica of the real thing.

Pretty impressive. I seem to recall seeing a video of a scale Ferrari 12 cylinder engine.
