I'm just looking for consistency. ( Evidently Hillary, too, is fed up with the apparent lack of consistency and wants out as Sec State)

Does that mean I can, or cannot oppose the Libyan excursion?

You can do what ever you want, it's a free country after all. Just think it's funny that arguments once used by the left are now used by the right.

Hardly, it's a given.

The Speaker of the House, in his latest correspondance to the President, asks how is this military action going to be paid for. I suppose it's better late than never to ask.

It may have skipped your attention, but I posted no criticism of the President re: Libya until he belatedly decided to participate in the no fly zone. If he thought the no-fly zone was a good idea, he could have done it some time ago. It appeared that he had decided to stay "hands off", and I was OK with that. I might be less partisan than you think. I did not oppose him simply because he was a democrat.
As much as I disliked Bill and Hillary, or even Al Gore, they were capable of leadership--perhaps in the wrong direction, but leadership, none the less. At this point I would crave the return of any of the aforementioned

For problems that the left complianed how the right handled them, and the left used the same tactics.

Personally, I think he's damned if he does and damned if doesn't. As far as core principles go tho, I agree with Fowler. Don't see a lot of clearly defined principles or beliefs. I wish he'd go on the tele and speak about them and why he thinks we need to do this country's cleanup and not that country's......"WITHOUT A FARKIN TELEPROMPTER."

What's the beef with Obama's use of a teleprompter? When was the last time a president went without one? It seems like a good method for helping the speaker keep his thoughts organized.

He's way too addicted to it's use. His off the cuff answers at press conferences or interviews really make him look ...and respond... in an unflattering way. Like he's searching for answers. That's my impression.
And without script, he does wander off the reservation.

I mean, really, you should be able to go to a grade school and speak to children without a teleprompter. The man, young or old, who feels the need to have one in such a setting, is acting a little strange. Just my humble opinion, of course.
