How do you knowhe was drunk? Looks to me from the video he was minding his own business. I can't say what happened before and neither can you. Nobody has the right to gang up and beat up on someone like that no matter what the situation. It's like beating the crap out of a nine year old who is throwing a tantrum. While these bodyguards may have prevented someone from touching Miss LaBelle's luggage they have failed in their duty to protect her from potential financial ruin.

Reverse the roles. If the kid that got thumped was black...and the body gaurds white?...you get the picture.

There's a good chance he will be reinstated, as his attorney is showing the video showing that he was not the perpetrator of the disturbance.

Nope, he's a cadet with the pay grade of E-5 or buck sergeant.

The cadet was doing nothing but waiting alone for his ride to show up ,the body guards had a zone to work around Miss Labelle and felt this guy needed to be moved ,of course the thugs decided their action to go into gangsta mode .Miss Labelle needs not to hire from the hood but look for better BGs elsewhere . She was smart in hanging around and taking photos with the police and got the report to go her way, but ,the video says different.Maybe she should hire Kevin Costner.

I guess the thugees were lucky that they didn't run into one of Texas's legally armed citizens who could have introduced them to the castle doctrine. Too bad....

I wonder if they would have been as quick to beat the crap out of that kid if he'd been wearing his cadet uniform.

I've a notion of what it takes to get into one of the service academies - I nearly got into Annapolis just out of HS, but got turned down for my eyesight - and you don't get in because mommy and daddy dropped a big wad of cash at the admissions desk - you have to be at the top of your game, academically, extracurricular activities, etc, and be mature enough to put up with all the other hoorah they throw your way while there. To pass this kid off as just another drunk frat boy is totally ignorant.

For my money, Miss LaBelle and her entourage may as well have done the full monty and beat up a vet returning from Iraq or Afghanistan.

When all's said and done, I have a feeling that the LEO's that posed for pictures and took her side of the story at face value may end up having an unpleasant conversation with their superiors.

I think that you are absolutely correct on all counts. The LEO who informed USMA of the cadet's "misconduct" may be looking for other work when this is over, as will the cops posing with that skank. I hear McDonalds in H Town is hiring security guards....

I don't remember reading that a sobriety test was done on him at the time.

Before you Hoo-Rah off into the sunset. I would like to point out that you are downing the black body gaurds who thumped the white kid..yet...you are suggesting here that the bodygaurds should have been shot dead by an armed citizen. BIG differance between beat up and shot.

Nice going killer...you never disapoint.
