A "bargain" targeted to an audience that doesn't need to bargain shop.
Seems like a poor business plan to me. What was Bogart's line in Casablanca? "I don't mind a parasite. I object to a cut rate one."

About the only replica cars that have suceeded are those that match or exceed the performance of the "real deal." AC Cobra . . . Porsche 356 . . . yes . . . VW Gazelle . . . Fiero Ferrari . . . no.

Yeah, the problem is the Veyron is such an engineering force that it would be impossible to replicate unless you own a company like VW and have billions to piss away on the project.
