Clowns have always freaked me out. At the age of 5, my mother took me to the Ringlings Bro circus.
A clown that was working the crowd tried to give me a ballon..I took one look at his eyes (I now know that the yellow blood-stained eyes were a sign of advanced alcoholism)..and cringed in my seat-never taking the balloon. Pancake make-up/actors in the silent movies creep me out as well. But now I realise that clowns are here to amuse me. Even if they freak me out.
