My "new" 500SL AMG..

I just got it two days ago ... my oldest son and I sat in the driveway and envisioned we were on the autobahn. It does look awesome from a distance ...
It's got the tri-y full dual exhaust, the AMG front spoiler kit/ground effects all the way around just below nearly perfect euro bumpers, euro M117 powered, BBS rims with full tread tires, the authentic AMG badge, the soft top is in good shape, a great "back" seat, Nardi steering wheel, a real top opener tool, euro Bosch headlights and a new radiator. Plus an extra set of heads in the trunk. Not bad for just over a grand.

Parts car only. Has not been started in five years. Far too rusty for anyone but a masochist with endless funds. I'm almost sleeping in my TD with how mad I made my wife when I brought it home- but I might be able to sell the parts for more than I paid.

Is it a 5 speed or auto? Sure would like to get a hold of a 5 speed getrag bell for a little while.

There's a 280SL with a 5 speed here which is at least twice as expensive it's got good headlights and the euro engine. Not much else other than some imitation AMG rims- so I passed on it. It's supposed to run fine but the owner lost the key and it's too rusty to repair and make a collector and too old for a daily driver IMHO.

The nardi is slightly cracked and needs varnish. If you want I'll send pics of the seat parts.

Nardi is the steering wheel.

Can't go wrong with that price, the bumpers alone...
