What social networks do you use?

Just a random poll, I'm curious (I think I remember this from a couple years ago too but our members have come and gone). I have been using LinkedIn a lot lately for the job hunting and its proving to be a pretty good tool.

LinkedIn is a great tool for job hunters. It's proven itself to be a valuable tool for professional networking as well. Due in part to my contacts, I have been able to locate manufacturing businesses in the US that will generally beat the pricing of overseas firms, which is a personal requirement for the times I have to have work sent out.

I have been offered a rather large number of opportunities to interview for companies all over the US, as well as abroad, and have kept up with these contacts from time to time...just in case I ever decide to change states again.

Don't use it as Facebook is used...keep any and all political, religious and other personal posts off of it. It's not used to keep up with friends, bu rather as a valuable business tool.

How come there's no category for "None, they're for chumps"?

Never had a profile in any of the above mentioned "networks". I do have life outside internet and I do have real friends not virtual
However I have to admit that it is really entertaining to see some of the pictures people publish of themselves on the net. Once there you never ever could delete them, you are "immortal" with your stupidity forever

LinkedIn for networking and Twitter for advertising/promotion.

What about Google + or whatever it's called? I looked at it once and it looked kind of interesting. Is it still around?

Foursquare has saved me SO much money at places I frequently check in to. For example, I bought(who does that anymore, anyways) 4 CDs that were 14.99 each for the princely sum of 35 bucks with my check in.

Plus it makes real life feel like an RPG, which is great when you're traveling between stores and feel the day begin to drag on.

Other than that, when all of your friends go to far off colleges, facebook is bar none the easiest way to stay in contact, and doesn't have the geriatric stigma of chain emails
