Anyone have any experience with the AMG 63s?

I am currently looking at getting into one of the AMG powered 63s...

I know a few techs hang out here.... Does anyone have experience with them?

I had(have) heard some stories about premature camshaft wear, but seems to be pretty isolated to a few cars...

My brother has a few year old C63. He'll be in town next week, I'll ask. AFAIK it's been good, but it prob only has 30k miles.

I have been researching quite a bit on the c63. There is a problem with head bolts, but I think it is isolated as well.

The car is fantastic otherwise, just requires a lot of bread...

tires every 10k,
realistic 8-10mpg
insurance,
etc.

I still plan on buying one within the next year or two.

Eh, those numbers are the same as my E55, so its not new/horrible.

The C63 is a sweet unit. Though, I am looking at something a lil different...

That's driving fairly reasonable.

I'll take a shot in the dark and say c63 coupe. I test drove one, pretty good. I still prefer the 4 door.

Did you see what Renntech is getting out of the new ones?

I can't beleive how fast these cars are.

How much does a C63 weigh? I'm at 4400lbs and running a 20% pulley and Kleeman ECU. It averages 12 per the trip display. However at the track it gets 4 to 5.
