How is this not the most insulting use of power in recent history in the US Senate?

No I think it was the "Veterans of missionaries in France during Vietnam" Bill.

Let's look at this...Senate is made up of 100 Senators. The current Senate is 51-D, 47-R, and 2-I.

The vote was lost 58-40, which equals 98...where's the missing 2 votes?

I’m completely okay that this failed. OK, so what is in the fine print? I am old enough to have learned the lesson that the nicer the Title, the more perverse the actual proposed legislation---i.e. "The Patriot Act".
