Not too smart a guy in my opinion. If he has children from the past there will be issues with behavious like that. You only date women older than your youngest daughter or they will retaliate in some fashion usually for example. Lack of respect for there father comes to mind.
Anyways who in their right mind wants to redo all the things pertanent to an earlier age group all over again. That can be one price of the 20s-60s age spread.
Otherwise if he is just in it for the ride so to speak is more understandable. Amount of money and age do have some corelation. If you are anwhere within the bounds of normal there are scads of women out there looking for you. What this type of methology will attract is indeed goldiggers. It is upfront that they wil want him for his money or influence has to be a given.
