North East: Who should pay to rebuild it?
Now that the storm is past and MS said we should get back to arguing politics....
![]() I live in DFW, not in NYC or anywhere else affected by the storm. Should my tax dollars go to help rebuild the North East? Personally I say yes. The damage in NY alone is pegged at $20B. NY can't afford that. Insurance companies are not going to shoulder all of it. Is this not a form of socialism? I do not see a problem with it. I guess we could just let NY and the rest of the NE just fend for them selves but that does not seem like it would be in our self interest.
