Son's 99 Land Rover DII on Craigslist Copper Kinversand
Guys - if allowed on the forum - mods remove this post if not - I would like to let everyone know that my son's '99 Land Rover Disco II is for sale on Craigs List. We have owned it for 6-8 years and it is a really good car. Burnished copper color called Kinversand, quite rare and great looking. Maintenance intensive though so better for someone who wants to work on it himself. New head gaskets, wires and plugs. It was never really meant for driving in Buckhead in Atlanta but that's where it has been. It's a sturdy beast.

nice Disco, he should put it on discoweb.org -- also. His price might be a bit high for a '99, no matter how nice.
BTW, I love Discos, have had two and will own another, but one with a diesel. |

I agree with txjake - that's a pretty optimistic price but a nice looking Rover.
But if he can get someone to bite at that price more power to him. |

The interesting thing is that it is a heck of a vehicle for the money. All the bells and whistles you can put on a car/truck even seat heaters, invincible four wheel drive, really good looking design - but maintenance intensive. Needs to go to someone who really needs an off road vehicle and knows a bit about wrenching. For that person it's probably worth twice the money because you would almost never want to get rid of it; keep it for twenty years or so.

Land Rovers are great deals to those of us who do our own work, almost on the same plane as old mbs. We definitely share electeonics like window switches and seat memory modules with them too. I'd love to pick up a LR winter vehicle but I'm waiting until I have money (heh). Bump +1 at least for OP having a good rep on here and being active/personable. GLWTS
