A 600 is a W100
A 6.9 is a 116

Bar none, the clk 320 chassis from 1998 to 2002 was the best by far.

w109 hands down...

The only reason I own a w123 is because it has some w109 vestigial features.

I'm a fan of the 115/114
Reason is the hybrid between classic styling similar to a 108, sort of a stock rallyish look setting it apart from the refined feel, and incredible mechanical similarity to the 123, which I also love (with euro headlights)

My vote would be for a 540K cabriolet, with the W115 and W123 tied for second. And back on the DB (DuesenBerg) when new in 1932, the chassis alone went for $10,000, with a custom body added on above that.

And a new ford cost about five or six hundred.

Actually the 540K with a supercharger was comparable to a Duesenberg in a general way. Back then a big star had a duesy and one of the Marx brothers had a 540K and they took them out to a dry lake for a race. They took it all seriously and each had serious racers prepare their cars by taking off things not essential like mufflers and anything heavy. they hired professional racers to drive. They also bet thousands of dollars on the race but the two stories below do not agree on the amount. The duesy won and the Marx brothers sold off their Mercedes. I might note that the MB was a 27 model and the duesy was a 31 model.
