Meh, too many big words in the article. I'll wait for the "youtube" version.

Great. One more "illness" to give someone a "I'm not really responsible for my actions. Give me a pass or at least mitigation for what I did.". What a load of crap.

There are a lot of forms of addiction and this only amounts to another that’s being acknowledged.

The growth of the internet has provided a valuable outlet for countless millions upon millions of people. I wonder what many would be doing if not for the outlet, whether the outlet is considered an addiction or not.

That is true. Second step is to use it to mitigate something.

As always, there are bottles of booze and different types of drugs

Personally, I'd rather have a Gideon's Bible. More readily available, free and it balances the wobbly table and helps me pack stuff for shipping. Also, it tells you how to live your life and is harder to use as an excuse for misdeeds.

Well, back in my "moving man" days I inherited a load of furniture which needed to be delivered. There was an old German Shrunk in the mess. The antique "real" ones all come apart and they are stored inside themselves. The bottom part becomes a shipping crate and all the pieces are stored in this crate. EVERY one of them were custom made and fit together using a complex method involving "tongue and groove", "mortise and tenon" and fitted pegs. The beauty and the beast of this method makes it possible to assemble it in about 20 different ways and formats. All of which but 1 is wrong! Spent 2 days before I got it right. I was in need of therapy after this.

Not really. Actually, all of them have been good from the standpoint that I could manipulate them to do certain things. I don't trust such a fluid subject. I have seen too much use of it for mitigation purposes. Put another way, if you remove any court mitigation, do you think mindfawking would be as popular? Say we have Michael Fay who was basically told that he could go home and get "help" AFTER punishment and that the "Classic American Defense" has no traction here, do you think many will get the "help" that they say they need?

Would you allow me to fix your car with an agreed hourly rate but open ended when it comes to how long it will take or how much of the project will be accomplished, if ever? I wouldn't.

Even if you know the large words, from a grammar standpoint that is a poorly-written article. Awful, just awful. Ugh. I hope English is not the writer's native language.

Supposedly she is dead and was born in Donna Texas if it is the one I googled. Ugly to boot.
