What is it with sex with animals and social conservatives? It's the first thing on their minds it seems.

If I had to guess I would go with pent up sexual frustration and aggression.

Would you vote for someone who wished to ban freedom of speech for the KKK?

Sure, you agree with him more than the other guy but this guy wants to deprive someone of his rights. Would that make it ok to vote for him and say "Because society didn't give me enough choices, I had to vote for him and he happened to deprive a group that I don't like so life is good."?

Quite an absurd analogy, you can do better than that.

I think that you are not so stupid you cannot understand the principle so perhaps the question is too painful for you. So please, stop acting dumb and indignant and simply answer the question ON PRINCIPLE.

He has dodged similar questions from myself Kerry and numerous others. Larry cannot answer the questions because that will reveal his true beliefs. By not answering he can dodge and cower in the darkness so he can play the victim.

Getting a straight answer out of Larry is like trying to nail down water. Just not going to happen.

Hopefully, that is so. The other way is that he is adept at lying to himself. I always believe that you can lie to anyone you want but NEVER lie to yourself. If you read what he says, it does sound so nice and reasonable till you ask specific questions, at which point the dodges and what not start to pop up.

A very good rule.

There is another way to interpret Larry's lack of principled responses: Despite his commitment to law and order, Larry's moral values aren't rooted in reason but are a set of emotional responses to life with no cohesive order. Think of it as a set of moral emotions associated with white gospel music.

I believe that in Canada there is a provision for hate crimes. You can belong to any group you want but you can't say things that are hateful. Saying the holocost didn't happen would be considered a hate crime here. We also believe in freedom of speech but with that freedom comes obligations. I'm not a laywer so I'm sure there's more to it than this.

That also sounds like "You can say anything you want as long as I agree with it.".

No, I don't think so. It's far more complicated than that. Besides, it's rarely used.

How is it more complicated? What has the rarity got to do with the principle?
