Given the way the 'wearin' of the Christ on the shirtsleeve' contingent added "Under God" into the pledge, wouldn't surprise me at all if that phrase was grafted into the Gettysburg address after the fact, because, you know, surely that's what Lincoln would have said.

Lincoln referenced God in many of his speeches but I don't think he was a "true believer" but rather an agnostic who tried to live by Christian values non the less.
